It is wrong to hate. I feel certain of that. Hate is a strong word, yada yada yada, etc.. I hate Frank, Pelosi, Dodd and the MSM for allowing them to get away with blaming Republicans without being held accountable for their complicity in this mortgage fueled crisis. Let's count the unreported facts of this mess:
1. Blocking the attempt to regulate Fannie Mae/ Freddie Mac in 2005 or 2006.
2. Barney Frank saying people were exaggerating FM/FM accounting and cash problems
at the time.
3. The list of big dollar donations from FM/FM to Dodd, Obama, et al. over the last ten
years.
4. Dems invoking the lynch card against administration attempts to corral Raines, et al.
5. Portraying the failure of the bailout bill as Republicans fault despite 95 Dem no votes.
Oh wait, maybe its a good thing with the public that our side is at fault. Talk
about unintended consequences. Take that MSM!
There's more but I'm tired already. Anyway, I'm for the Dave Ramsey plan.

Painful lack of self awareness by MSM and left wing nuttosphere.
Perusing the MSM and their followers at places such as the Huffington post, I've been struck by how out of touch they are with their current position in the information food pyramid. The posts at the Huffpo are incredibly hilarious as they scream "New NY Times piece exposes Palin/McCain lies/hypocrisy/ignorance/etc. ", with the hope that this will change the current dynamic of the race. Similarly, the Op ed writers of the Times and the Washington Post soberly report half truths or outright distortions of Palin or McCain positions as proof that these two are too stupid or evil to lead this country. What both groups are painfully unaware of is how little the big mainline news and opinion organs matter to the electorate at large. After two presidential elections where a major news organization tried to derail the same candidate with an October surprise and the last year and a half of the media doing everything in their power to elect Barack Obama, the public had serious doubts about the MSM. Add to this the media's unloading all barrels onto Palin and the final nail in the coffin of the MSM's credibility was driven home. Herbert, Rich, Dowd, Warner, Dionne, Cohen, et al and their parent news divisions simply don't drive the narrative as they might have in the past and have no awareness of this fact. They are speaking only into the echo chamber of the left wing nuttosphere. I only read them currently for entertainment value. Its fascinating to see them try to make heads or tails of the Palin phenomenom and while making fun of her confirm for me how out of it they are.

Letterman has jumped the shark.
Watching Dave interview "The Chosen One" last night reminded me how much he has lost it over the last 10 years or so. He's gone from being the edgy interviewer that people wanted to avoid to another Stewart/Olberman suck-up. So sad.
